Reneé Rapp

Reneé Mary Jane Rapp was born on January 10, 2000 in Huntersville, North Carolina. Though she works mainly in musical theatre, she began releasing original music in 2022.

After playing the role of Sandra in her high school production of Big Fish in 2018, she was awarded the Blumey Award (local musical theatre award) and the Jimmy Award (national high school musical theatre award) for "Best Performance by an Actress." In June, 2019, she won the role of Regina George in the Broadway production of Mean Girls. She remained in the show until the Broadway shutdown of 2020. Later in 2020, she was cast as a lead in Mindy Kaling's comedy series, The Sex Lives of College Girls.

Reneé's songs blend pop and R&B. Her music is characterized by her powerful vocals and poignant lyrics. On June 3, 2022, Reneé released her first single, titled Tattoos. On July 22, she released In the Kitchen, followed by Don't Tell My Mom on September 30. Reneé writes all of her own music. She has become known for teasing her songs before their release, sometimes posting acoustic versions of entire choruses in order to build anticipation.
